We loved photographing this intimate wedding in the suburbs at Cheney Mansion, because it took place in Oak Park where Marci's originally from! We had a little break during the day, so we were able to go to her favorite hotdog place, Gene & Jude's. If you haven't been there please do, it's pretty famous, and take our advice, don't put ketchup on your hotdog!
Cheney Mansion was a gorgeous venue and they did a fantastic job with Emma and CJ's wedding! All the history throughout the building was so interesting and the greenhouse was beautiful, we were so excited. We could've spent all day taking couple portraits with all the great spots!
Emma and CJ's wedding day was beautiful and intimate. Emma's family is European, so there were hats and accents galore! While getting ready we learned Emma's veil was an heirloom from her side of the family (it came all the way from Ireland!), so it was very special having her mother put it on her. Their ceremony was touching and Emma even said some quiet vows to Lily and Clare who were welcoming her into their family, so so sweet and brought so many tears! Later that night they had a reception at a quaint restaurant where family and friends made all of our hearts swell with their toasts. We love these intimate weddings, being surrounded by close friends and family, so much happiness.
